The Atelier Experience

The Atelier returns to the practices of the 1950s couturier atelier where each piece is individually hand-tailored for the client.

The house of Gallello revives the techniques of our grandfather, Dominic Gallello, who was pattern cutter to Moniseur Dior himself in the 1950s. The Atelier was created by its founder to honour his legacy and preserve what has become a dying craft. By celebrating our artisans we can find a place for them in the modern landscape of fashion today.

The Venice Atelier

The Collections

The Collections are available in standard sizing or made-to-measure to the client's measurements. Prices start from standard sizing. Made-to-measure will be quoted during the client's consultation based on their requests.

The Elena Collection

La Collezione Elena is the Atelier's Signature Collection named after our grandmother, Elena. It features feminine silhouettes and wardrobing pieces to easily mix and match a look.

Gilded Summer

The Gilded Summer Collection features soft white hues for summer for the Atelier's tailoring pieces in silk, cotton and a touch of cashmere for softness. With this collection comes the introduction of knitwear in Baby Cashmere and Baby Alpaca and Silk.

The Collections pricing start from standard sizing. A final quote will be provided after the client's consultation to understand their made-to-measure requirements.

*Remote clients can meet with the Atelier virtually and provide their measurements by their local tailor.

At the Consultation, the client's measurements will be taken by a Master Tailor. Remote Clients will be guided through their measurements which can be taken by their local tailor. Step 1:

Measurements & Consultation

One of the Atelier's Master Tailors will guide you through a fitting taking your measurements which will be kept on file in the Atelier. For remote clients, measurements can be taken by your local tailor and sent to the Atelier.

The Private Client Manager will assist you in tailoring your chosen design to your preferred fit and specifications. Designs are available in their selected fabrics or the client can commission a bespoke fabric.

Your Hand-Tailored Piece

Your piece will be hand-tailored by a single artisan. The Master Tailor practices the slow and meticulous high-sewing techniques of the Atelier's grandfather, Dominic Gallello.

Step 3:

Delivery

Each piece is intended to be an heirloom to collect, keep and pass down. They represent the heirlooms Dominic made for his wife, Elena, passed down to the Atelier's founder. Your hand-tailored piece will be presented with personalised details to cherish for years to come.

Each piece has its own garment bag embroidered with personalised details. The Atelier creates each garment bag in the studio using deadstock and leftover fabric.
