Mme Shahad Al Jaber

Prepared for Mme Shahad Al Jaber

For the evening of her engagement celebration — an elegant and refined commission. Quiet in its confidence, considered in every detail.

The Atelier

Gallello Atelier is a private client couture house — a return to the art of dressing, when couture was commissioned for life and not simply for occasion. Each piece is tailored entirely by hand, drawing on the inherited techniques of couturier patternmaker Dominic Gallello, who cut patterns for Monsieur Christian Dior in the 1950s. The Atelier creates elegant wardrobing pieces in noble fibres — the foundation of a woman's wardrobe.

The Atelier's story begins in Veneto — couture tailoring crafted between Venice and Milan. The Atelier's story begins in Veneto — couture tailoring crafted between Venice and Milan.

The Commission

An Elegant Affair

The Atelier has been commissioned to dress an engagement celebration — an intimate gathering of both families to mark the beginning. True to the house's devotion to the art of dressing, each piece has been considered in the spirit of quiet elegance — a step back to an era when dressing for such a moment was an act of careful intention.

The Clémence

The Clémence Set — a sharply cut shirt with an elongated neckline, softened through a hand-gathered waist that shapes the bodice with precision, worn with a full-length skirt in the same cloth. Composed in Silk Crepe de Chine to be worn together or apart in the spirit of the Atelier's commitment to elevated wardrobing across moments.

Available as a set or dress to the wearer's preference.

Bespoke Recommendation: Tailored with elongated soft sleeve with tight cuffs featuring 3-4 delicate covered buttons at the wrist.

The Isabella and Giulia Skirt

The Atelier's Signature Couture Jacket

Recognised for its Couture Jackets, the Isabella — the house's signature silhouette — tailored in soft ivory for the occasion. Constructed entirely by hand, twelve hand-sewn panels shape the bodice with precision, nipping the waist to create a silhouette that is at once structured and deeply feminine. A practice inherited directly from the techniques of our grandfather and couturier patternmaker Dominic Gallello.

Presented with the Giulia Skirt, tailored in the same cloth with a gentle mermaid shape and a soft bustle at the back — the two pieces forming a complete, considered composition for the evening.

Bespoke Recommendation: Crafted in Ivory Silk Crepe de Chine in a matte hue with very subtle sheen. Priced upon request.

The Atelier believes that the hands behind the piece are as important as the piece itself. Each commission is an act of craft, carried by the artisan from the first cut to the final stitch.

The Atelier

The Atelier is based between Venice and Milan, specialising in couture tailoring and the preservation of traditional craft. Every element is executed by hand — from artisanal tailoring to embroidery, beadwork and corsetry, with traditional boning techniques. Never machine-led construction.

Our Couturier Heritage

Dominic Gallello was couturier patternmaker to Monsieur Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent. His techniques, his devotion to craft, and the pieces he left as heirlooms to his granddaughter Stacey Gallello are the foundation of everything the Atelier creates today. The house exists to preserve that integrity — and to bring it forward.
