Chiara Skirt with the Flowers of Elena

An iconic piece reimagined: the Chiara Skirt enters the Atelier's collection, preserving the intricacy of the original couture edition.

-

Following the private release of the Atelier’s original art piece — offered in a limited edition of two within the Private Collection — we are honoured to unveil a refined new interpretation.

In response to continued enquiries, this edition is now hand-embroidered with exquisite glass beads in place of the 19th-century antiques used in the original art piece — preserving the intricate workmanship that defined the first two, while allowing the skirt to enter the broader Gallello collection.

It remains a celebration of craft — accessible only in its availability, not its artistry.

We invite you to discover this new expression of the Chiara Skirt — a continuation of the tradition, and a promise to those who cherish the beauty of detail.

The Chiara Skirt con Fiori blends the Atelier’s minimalist silhouette with ornate embellishment. Originally released in a limited edition of two using rare Victorian-era beads, the design is now reimagined for private clients in a new collector’s edition.

The hand-embroidered white lily motif — a tribute to our Nonna Elena’s favourite flower — remains central to the piece. This edition is adorned with fine glass beads, carefully selected to honour the spirit of the original, and hand-embroidered by our artisan Evgeniya using the Luneville technique, known as les mains d’or — the golden hands.

With over 250 hours of embroidery, each skirt is tailored to order and requires the same level of artisanal care as the original art piece, now held in the Atelier’s archives. This refined interpretation invites a new collector to experience the artistry of the Chiara Skirt — preserving its beauty, without compromise.

Inspired by a Family Love Story

Featuring a custom-commissioned illustration of the white lily, hand-embroidered in tribute to a family love story.

-

As an homage to the enduring love between Dominic and Elena Gallello, the Atelier commissioned a custom illustration of the white lily — Nonna Elena’s favourite flower. This motif has been delicately hand-embroidered on the Chiara Skirt con Fiori, using the intricate Luneville technique.

The Atelier’s signet is discreetly embroidered on the pocket — a symbol of legacy that intertwines our grandfather’s craft with the purity of the white lily. Together, they represent the thread that runs through every piece we create: love, heritage, and the art of handwork passed down through generations.

Les Mains d'Or - The Golden Hands

The Atelier's Gilded Summer Collection was inspired by the Luneville technique, french hand embroidery known as the Goldens Hands or 'les mains d'or'. Lunéville embroidery is a French handcrafted technique that has been used since the 19th century on Haute Couture dresses and accessories. It is a work of complexity that requires great patience, precision and meticulousness. It creates unique pieces of luxury, of marvelous designs, unimaginable elegance and exquisitely elaborated.

250 Hours of Handwork

The piece requires over 250 hours of hand-embroidery to bring the skirt to life. The piece is then carefully tailored by hand in the Atelier.

Cotton, Silk and Cashmere fabric is intricately hand-embroidered with glass beads, then skillfully tailored by a Master Tailor into a pencil skirt.
